This central neighbourhood is located north-east of the historic core and includes areas such as Anjos, Intendente, and Alameda. It is densely built and has undergone significant demographic and commercial changes in recent years.
The built environment consists mainly of late 19th- and early 20th-century apartment buildings with ground-floor retail and services.
