Campolide
This neighbourhood is located north-west of the historic centre of Lisbon, between Amoreiras and the Monsanto forest park. It is primarily residential and is influenced by major road and rail infrastructure that crosses the area.
The built environment consists mainly of mid- to high-rise apartment buildings from the 20th century, alongside some older structures and small commercial units serving local needs. Parts of the district are situated on sloping terrain, and certain zones are visually and physically shaped by viaducts, rail lines, and large traffic arteries. Commercial activity is mostly local rather than tourist-oriented.
Public transport connections include bus routes and nearby rail access, while metro stations are located outside the immediate neighbourhood boundaries. Road access is significant due to proximity to main city routes and motorway connections. Property prices vary depending on proximity to Amoreiras and newer developments, but are generally below those of central historic districts.
