This neighborhood is located in the eastern part of Lisbon along the Tagus river, between Beato and Parque das Nações. It historically developed as an industrial and port-related area and has undergone gradual redevelopment in recent years.
The built environment includes former warehouses, industrial facilities, newer residential developments, and local housing areas. Some industrial spaces have been converted into cultural venues, offices, and creative industry spaces. Public transport is provided mainly by bus routes and nearby train stations, with road access via eastern city arteries.
