This neighborhood is located in the eastern part of Lisbon between the airport and Parque das Nações. It developed mainly in the mid-20th century as part of planned urban expansion and includes both older residential zones and later housing developments.

The built environment consists largely of apartment blocks, planned housing estates, and local commercial areas, with several parks and open spaces distributed throughout the neighborhood. Public transport access includes metro stations, bus routes, and road connections to major city arteries and the airport.
