Santa Clara

This neighbourhood is located in the northern part of Lisbon near the municipal boundary and includes areas such as Ameixoeira and Charneca. It developed mainly during the late 20th century as part of the city’s expansion into peripheral zones.

The built environment consists largely of apartment complexes, social housing estates, and planned residential developments. Commercial activity is mostly local and concentrated around neighbourhood centres and retail areas. Public transport is provided mainly by bus routes and nearby metro stations, with road access via major routes leading to the northern outskirts of the city.
